Enter Indie Band Search and win a Les Paul Sparkle and more

The Indie Band Search is a national competition and a unique opportunity that gives independent musicians, artists, songwriters, and bands a chance to be heard by entertainment industry professionals and compete for prizes worth over $10,000 including the Grand Prize -- a 2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard Sparkle.

Ten winners will be featured on the nationally distributed "Indie Choice" compilation CD which will be released on ModMusic Records in the Spring of 2001.

The judging panel is made up of producers, managers, publishers, music attorneys, television and film music supervisors, radio promoters, and other music industry professionals, as well as celebrities including actresses Claire Danes (Romeo and Juliet) and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos).

Guitar legend Les Paul and Gibson teamed up in 1952 to produce the guitar that set the standard for solidbody electrics. In the 1990s Gibson and Les Paul still enjoy the most successful endorsement agreement in the history of the guitar, and the Les Paul Standard is still the Industry Standard. The Indie Band Search is offering prizes from its top of the line sponsors including Gibson USA, Shure microphones, Pearl Drums, D'Adarrio/Evans, Amazon.com, Crate, Airwalk, Sam Ash Music Stores, and Urban Outfitters.

The first 200 contestants will receive a prize packet worth over $50. The Indie Band Search is open to ALL genres of music. International submissions are accepted. Deadline for entries is January 31, 2001.
