Yahoo! Auctions do the Voodoo with 5 Gibson Custom Shop guitars
Do the Voodoo now on the Yahoo! Auction benefiting PAX - The Movement to End Gun Violence and their student activist network, PAX Students. Five exclusive Gibson Custom Shop Yahoo! Les Paul Juniors went up for auction today. These guitars have two Gibson '57 Classic humbucker pickups, a bound body, the now familiar "Do You Yahoo!?" slogan on the body, and www.yahoo.com inlaid in the rosewood fingerboard. Each auction lasts for, get this, 13 days. Not 14, but 13. Voodoo is right.
Each guitar is signed by some of the many artists who appeared October 28 in New Orleans at the Voodo Music Festival. The Gibson Custom Shop Traveling Exhibit was there full of cool guitars and Gibson Custom Shop artisans ready to do the Voodoo.
In July, the Gibson Custom Shop produced 50 limited edition Gibson Yahoo! Explorers. Go here to hear and see this 21st century, Yahoo! wonder. PC users can download an executable version right here and email it to friends and bandmates. Mac users go here for the download.
The proceeds of the auction will be donated to PAX - The Movement to End Gun Violence and their student activist network, PAX Students. For more information on PAX, send an e-mail to info@paxstudents.org or to sign their Youth Petition To End Gun Violence, visit www.paxpetition.org.
