The Gibson Milano Showcase wins ACM's top nightclub award

The Gibson Milano Showcase in downtown Nashville won the Nightclub of the Year award last night on the Academy of Country Music's nationally broadcast awards show. Gibson CEO Henry Juszkiewicz accepted the award on behalf of the the Milano Showcase.

The Gibson Milano Showcase is one of two Gibson Showcases in Nashville. The other is the intimate Gibson Broadway Showcase This year the two will be joined by The Gibson Bluegrass Showcase at Opry Mills, the 1.2 million square foot shopping and entertainment complex set to open on this month on the former grounds of Opryland USA theme park in Nashville, Tennessee, and The Gibson Beale Street Showcase in Memphis, Tennessee, located 1 block from historic Beale Street. The Memphis Showcase will also offer tours of a working factory manufacturing Gibson's Classic line of hollowbody and semi-hollowbody electric guitars, a restaurant and state of the art performance stage, a shop for musical merchandise--the Gibson Store, a space try out legendary musical instruments in the interactive Music Salon, and the recently opened Smithsonian Rock 'n' Soul exhibit. Says Juszkiewicz, "On a basic level, well be bringing in new jobs and contributing to the revitalization of downtown Memphis. However, through live performances and a number of educational programs, we hope the Gibson Showcase will become a place where music becomes part of the fabric of the community."

Also winning an ACM musician of the year award was Dobro master and Gibson signature artist Jerry Douglas.
