Custom Shop names 37 Award Dealers, designates exclusive Award Dealer guitars

The Gibson Custom, Art, Historic division has designated 37 U.S. Award Dealers. Accreditation of Award Level Dealership status is a new guitar industry standard. It allows for a handful of dealerships worldwide to exclusively represent Gibson's most prestigious instruments within the guidelines the Custom Shop sets forth. The goal is to insure Custom Shop customers the best in information, service and care of a select group of guitars that the Custom Shop crafts.

"We deem it absolutely imperative that the Award Dealers possess thorough knowledge of these exclusive instruments, of the channels of communication within Gibson, and have a genuine respect for the World's Finest Guitars and the discerning customers who buy them," says Custom Shop General Manager Rick Gembar. "It is our goal to provide each of our customers with the best guitars and related services in our industry."

Aged 1959 Les Paul Reissue Most of the Award Dealers are intimately involved with the development of Custom Shop guitars and visit the Custom Shop regularly to hand select them on their customers' behalf. Each Award Dealer undergoes an extensive set of training procedures and continually lives up to the Custom Shop's high standards.

Four custom color Firebirds are also available from the Designer Series including the 1963 Firebird I, the 1964 Firebird III, the 1965 Firebird V, and the 1965 Firebird VII.

Other Award Dealer guitars are the Les Paul Standard Reissue with aged hardware (both Maestro and non-Maestro), all three 1959 Les Paul Reissues including the exquisite Aged Figuredtop Reissue, and the Aged 1957 Goldtop Reissue.
