Three new Signature models, Sparkles debut</B>

Just in time for Summer NAMM 2000, the bi-annual musical instrument manufacturers' tradeshow beginning Friday, July 21st, Gibson USA announced today the introduction of three new signature model instruments, as well as three exciting new finishes for the most desirable guitar in the history of popular music, the Les Paul Standard.

The three new signature models include a Gary Moore Signature Les Paul , an Angus Young Signature SG , and the Nikki Sixx "Blackbird" Bass.

"We are excited to offer these signature instruments from these three fine musicians," says Gibson Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz. "Gibson is always proud to celebrate a musicians career with a signature instrument. Gary has had a tremendous career, influencing scores of young guitarists along the way. Angus is a heavy metal guitar legend, and Nikki has long supplied the foundation for one of the most successful rock bands in history."

Gibson USA is also introducing three new sparkle finishes for their Les Paul Standard-- Diamond, Blue and Green.

"We introduced a sparkle finish at Winter NAMM (in January, 2000), and it immediately became one of our most in-demand instruments," adds Juszkiewicz. "The sparkle flake is actually embedded into the nitro-cellulose lacquer, not only giving off a dazzling reflective look to the guitar, but also adding a silky sustain to the tone."

Gary Moore Signature Les Paul

Gibson announces a limited run signature model in tribute to the legendary British guitarist, Gary Moore. Gary is well known for his love and support of Gibsons Les Paul. He is perhaps best known for his 1970s tenure with Thin Lizzy, as an 80s fusion metal pioneer, a 90s blues purist, and for his recent CD releases Still Got The Blues, A Different Beat, and Blues For Greenie.

Angus Young Signature SG

The Angus Young Signature SG guitar is a limited run model replicating his favorite guitar.

Angus Young is well known for his support and love of the SG. His distinct sound and straight ahead rock guitar has inspired fans and guitar players alike for twenty-five years with AC/DC, who continue to maintain their world class, multi platinum stature. The cover to AC/DCs latest recording immortalizes Angus in a bronze, full-body statue holding his prized Gibson SG.

Nikki Sixx "Blackbird" Signature Bass

The Thunderbird Nikki Sixx signature bass guitar is a limited run model designed after Nikki's favorite instrument.

Nikki Sixx, Mötley Crües famed bassist, continues to receive press and fan acclaim for his antics and showmanship in the heavy metal genre. He begins a US tour this summer with Megadeth.

Les Paul Standard Sparkle

Gibsons Les Paul Standard, the electric guitar by which all others are judged, is introducing three new limited availability Sparkle finishes --Diamond, Blue and Green.
