Mersey Cats, Elvis musicians & Epi aid Liverpool orphans

Epiphone recently came to the aid of Liverpool orphans. Moore and Fontana participated in a charity concert and auction at Liverpool's Neptune Theatre sponsored by the Mersey Cats to raise funds for Strawberry Fields, a Salvation Army orphanage in the Beatles' hometown. There they auctioned off an autographed Epiphone Sheraton guitar. Pictured here are, left-to-right, Mersey Cats chairman Dave Jamieson, Fontana, and Moore.

The Mersey Cats are an organization of former Mersey Beat musicians popular in the in 1960's British pop scene. They now sponsor numerous charity events in the UK.
