The high art of Gibson's OAI luthiers is revealed Gibsons masterful luthiers at OAI (Original Acoustic Instruments) created several exciting, handmade instruments for this years summer NAMM show in Nashville.

Among those products are:

  • The top of the line Varnished F5 Gibson Master Model mandolin. This beauty features Cremona Brown, hand-rubbed, stain-finished with hand-polished varnish. Silver hardware sets off this piece with hand engraved satin silver tailpiece base & cover.

  • The Custom Art Gibson banjo with scenes commemorating the "Battle of the Little Big Horn".

  • The thin-line Dobro electric with up-graded electronics.

  • The Signature Series Dobros featuring the Jerry Douglas and Al Perkins models. The Douglas features a mahogany instrument with special sound-post resonator chamber construction. The Perkins shows off Al's design with "f" holes, a translucent black finish and 24k gold plated, engraved coverplate & hardware.

  • The signature model banjos by Earl Scruggs & J.D. Crowe.
