Blues guitarists heat up Broadway
text and photos by David Schenk

In celebration of NAMM being in Nashville, Gibson USA and the National Association of Music Merchants co-sponsored a free "Blues on Broadway" concert. The show took place last Saturday night directly in front of the Gibson Cafe and Guitar Gallery on Broadway in downtown Nashville.

Rollin' and Tumblin' started the show featuring the slide guitar of Gypsy Carns, Senior Director of Customer Support for Gibson Guitars. Rick Moore and Mr. Lucky were next, followed by Michael Holloway and the Bottom Line.

Little Jimmy King and the King James Review lit up Broadway with a Jimi Hendrix inspired set, concluding with King igniting his Gibson Flying V. Larry McCray closed the show with a soulful blues set.
