Epis visit Marathon Village for T.G. Sheppard album cover | |
|
Epiphone lent a trio of photogenic guitars to legendary country artist/former Elvis sideman T.G. ("The Good") Sheppard today. The scene was Nashville's historic Marathon Village, a former automobile factory from the early 1900s that has recently gained notoriety as a cool place to film videos and such. Sheppard and crew were on hand to shoot the cover photo for his upcoming Outwest Productions release, tentatively titled Nothing On But The Radio. This album continues a long line of successful Sheppard recordings, dating back to his 1981 hit "Party Time." In addition to a variety of homegrown props, an Epiphone Hummingbird, EJ 200 and Dot should be making an appearance on the album cover. While Sheppard himself was in makeup while the roving eye of Gibson.Net was on the scene, a pair of Sheppard's personal Gibsons, including an extremely worn J-160E, were more than happy to pose for a photo. Also check out these very "arty" pix of Marathon Village...
