Pat Martino to provide master therapy with a Gibson L-4CES |
|
Jazz guitar master Pat Martino, with the support of a Gibson L-4CES, will conduct a master class at the annual convention of the National Association of Music Therapists, set for Nov. 19-23 at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Gibson Musical Instruments is a strong advocate for Music Therapy and will once again support the convention's songwriting contest with a Gibson J-45 acoustic, an Epiphone acoustic and an Epiphone guitar amplifier for first, second and third prizes. Last year's contest, held at the Gibson Cafe and Guitar Gallery (formerly Henry's Great Coffeehouse), showcased a wide range of musical talent. Gibson will also donate a Nighthawk and an Epiphone Les Paul for the fundraising silent auction and will provide backline for two "Jam Rooms" for the attending music therapists to let off some steam after a full day of convention-attending. Pat Martino's class may represent the beginning of an official association with Gibson -- a possible Martino signature model is in the planning stages.
