The hands that normally handle Louisville Sluggers will be swinging Gibsons
on November 4th.
The occasion is the "Players Choice Jam Band: Presented By Gibson." The Jam
Band, made up of members of the Major League Baseball Players Association,
will be playing at the "Players Choice Awards" welcoming party, held at the
ESPN Club in Disneyworld.
The Jam is somewhat a continuation of July 7th's "All Star Jam" which took
place in Cleveland. Highlighted by a Les Paul Custom-wielding Bernie
Williams, the event also "drew" Drew Carey, Jeff Foxworthy, Mike Bielecki,
Jeff Luden and many others.
If you didn't get an invite to the November 4th party, fear not, and tune
in to ESPN on November 5th at 9-11pm EDT for the "Players Choice Awards."
The show presents awards to those players who have best earned the respect
of their fellow players and will feature clips of the previous evening's
festivities.
Proceeds from both events benefit the Players Trust For Children, which is
the first charitable foundation established and operated by professional
athletes. The purpose of the organization is to "contribute to the
well-being of children through baseball-related activities."
