Dan Erlewine Says Aloha To Gibson... For Now |
|
Guitar Restoration Guru Dan Erlewine ended his two-week stint with Gibson's Warranty Repair department today. Erlewine marked the occasion by taking photos of his new graduates employing the techniques they learned. The Warranty Repair staff honored Dan in a humorous way by enshrining his likeness on a broken Gibson headstock. Erlewine was eager to recount his experiences with Gibson. "More than ever, I'm impressed by Gibson," he said. "From the [Nashville Electric Division] factory to the [Custom*Art*Historic Division], they are making the best guitars they've ever made." Erlewine was equally impressed with the Warranty Repair Department. "Customer service is really their goal, it's obvious," Erlewine said. "And '[be] Proactive' is their motto. They learned a lot and I learned a lot. We shared our knowledge and traded secrets. I hope they have me back."
