Gibson Builds Custom ES-336 For Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Concert |
|
Gibson Musical Instruments has been involved with many events throughout the year that benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. But the big kahuna blowout is the "Music For Life Concert" which takes place at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on Wednesday, October 29 at 8:00p.m. The concert features headliner Tracy Lawrence, John Berry, Burnin' Daylight, Mila Mason, Ricochet, and the Raybon Brothers. Gary Chapman will emcee the event. Two Epiphone Songwriters were donated for in-store promotions at area Target stores and two Les Pauls have been donated for a silent auction. The coolest instrument created for the event, however, would have to be a custom ES-336 built by Gibson's Custom*Art*Historic Division. What makes this axe cool is the carved top, straight-string pull headstock and compound radius fingerboard, as featured on all ES-336 guitars. What makes the guitar unique is the custom color and "Music For Life" logo, commemorating the event. As with the Les Pauls, the guitar will be used in the silent auction. It might find its way on stage for the concert too. Speaking of the concert, it promises to be a great one. For information, call the CFF at 615-255-1167. For tickets call Ticketmaster at 615-255-9600.
