Gibson Musical Instruments Gibson Goes Multi-Media

Through the wonders of cross promotion, Gibson Musical Instruments is tied in with a variety of movies, books and CDs about or from some legendary artists.

"Book 'Em Dan-O"

Avon Books recently released the biography Walk This Way which traces the "amazing" history of Aerosmith. The book is written by Stephen Davis, author of the Led Zep Bio Hammer Of The Gods (featuring another guy occasionally known to strum a Gibson).

Anyway, if you've been pondering the purchase of a Joe Perry Signature Les Paul, now's the time. Starting October 15 and ending December 31, every J.P.L.P. will come with a hang tag. If you fill out the hang tag and send it in with your warranty card, we will ship you a hardcover copy of Walk This Way.

"This Note's For You"

Gibson is also teaming up with Guitar Center, Tower Records, Spencer Gifts and October Films to bring you Year Of The Horse, a live concert film from Neil Young's latest tour of America.

Visiting your local Tower, Guitar Center or Spencer will enable you to enter a sweepstakes for an autographed Les Paul Standard, Les Paul Double Cutaway Studio or Neil Young CD catalogs.

"Guitar Greats... Great Guitar"

Between October 14 and November 11, if you visit any of the 475 Blockbuster Music locations in the US, check out the "Guitar Greats" CD display. Not only does the CD promise to live up to its name, but the centerpiece of the display artwork is a Honeyburst Les Paul Standard guitar... cool.
