Return of the Spirits | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Steinberger Spirits -- which embody the spirit of Ned Steinberger's innovation in moderately-priced basses and guitars -- will return to the U.S. market in February 1998. Spirits feature the same award-winning ergonomic designs of the Steinberger GL, GM, XL and XQ models, but with a maple body and neck and a rosewood fingerboard. Every Spirit has Steinberger's famous headless neck, with fast-change double-ball strings. Other Spirit features include passive EMG Select pickups and the R-Trem, a super-accurate tremolo designed by Ned Steinberger. Spirits will be made in Korea and then final-inspected at Steinberger headquarters in Nashville. In the Steinberger tradition, all Spirits are available in black or white. The GU and XZ models are also available in Cherryburst, Fireburst or Honeyburst for an additional $50 (list).
