Gibson Musical Instruments Here an Epi, there an Epi, everywhere an Epi Epi

Epis in the movies? That was just the tip of the iceberg. Look for Epiphone in practically every medium in the coming months.

In print:
The December issue of Gig Magazine features a brand new Epiphone apparel spread with some of the latest styles of Epi-Wear. If you see something you like, call 1800-EPI-WEAR to order.

In class:
If you happen to visit the Fort Mojave Tribe's AHA MACAV high school, you will find that Epiphone is donating a variety of student-model acoustic guitars to help out their growing music program. For more information on the school or to make a donation of your own, call Frank Sabatano at 520-346-1121.

In a wish:
Epiphone donated a Translucent Blue Les Paul to a Make-A-Wish recipient. 14-year-old Shannon, from Illinois, is spending most of her time practicing the guitar. We hope that this gift will help lift her spirits as she deals with her illness. Make-A-Wish is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children between the ages of 2-1/2 to 18 who suffer from life-threatening diseases. Make-A-Wish receives no government grants, United Way funds or similar donations. They are supported completely by fund raisers, individual and group donations. For more information, contact Sue Jirkovsky at 312-943-8956.

On the air:
Epiphone will underwrite The Adventures of Johnny Butane and the Hot Ones, a drama to air on Alaska Public Radio. As part of the sponsorship, Epiphone is donating a Les Paul Standard to KFSK Radio in Alaska which will be presented to Mike Eaton, who writes and records music for the station. While Mike has been battling cancer, he remains dedicated to working at his craft, and we applaud his dedication. For more information about the show, contact Jim Tindall at 907-772-4020.

And of course... on the stage:
Epiphone is donating a Jeff Baxter acoustic guitar to the Austin Acoustic Music Festival which will be held this weekend in Austin, TX. The AAMF features over 50 acts ranging from Persian folk music to acoustic hiphop to funk. Last year, an Epiphone El Capitan was donated for use in the show. You can also catch this Fest live on the web as it simulcasts via Monsterbit Media. For more information on the festival, contact Brad Massingill at 512-916-9820.
