Gibson Musical Instruments Warren Cuccurullo Chooses Steinberger

Virtuoso guitarist Warren Cuccurullo has done his share of band-hopping--from Frank Zappa to Missing Persons to Duran Duran--but through it all he has stuck with Steinberger guitars.

Recently Warren shared his affection for Steinbergers with a lucky contest winner. He and bandmates Simon LeBon and Nick Rhodes showed up at the Virgin record store in New York City for an in-store appearance and CD signing sponsored by Z100 radio. Z100 conducted a radio contest with the winner receiving the guitar signed by Warren at the in-store.

The Cuccurullo/Steinberger connection goes back to his stint with Zappa, one of the most respected gigs in guitardom. He then joined forces with Terry Bozzio and Patrick O'Hearn to form Missing Persons, an important '80s pop band. In 1989 he joined the quintessential '80s pop band, Duran Duran, where he's been ever since.
