Gibson guitars are known the world over for being the standard of excellence by which all other fretted string instruments are measured.During 101 years of continuous operation, the Gibson company has always stood for the most innovative technology, the highest quality and the finest artistic designs. For the first time in over a century of existence Gibson is offering its vintage name, logos, trademarks and music industry connections to licensees that stand for the same values that Gibson does.
Director of Licensing, Joe Aniello, is pleased to announce that Gibson has signed its first licensees.
Xonex International of Cleveland, Ohio has been licensed to manufacture a variety of music related gifts and desktop accessories. Xonex is also a licensee of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame.
Gibson has also signed with Blue Q of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This company will manufacture a collection of classic guitar refrigerator magnets.
"In the same way that Harley Davidson licensing has been so successful with motorcycle enthusiasts, we feel there are millions of people who aspire toward the ultimate guitar or want to associate with the image that the guitar player lifestyle represents," Aniello said. "It fits perfectly with the nostalgia boom."
