Next time you flip on the television, look and listen for Gibson Montana flat tops in prime-time supporting roles.
On NBC's hit sitcom Friends, Lisa Kudrow's six string-totin' character "Phoebe" strums various Gibson models, while John Lithgow's alien character on 3rd Rock From The Sun will sport a Hummingbird this season. If you prefer the Fox network, keep your ears "peeled" for 90210's Donna Lewis and her J-60.

"BOARD" WITH TYPICAL GAMES? It's no trivial matter, but Countryfried Inc. now offers a board game for fans of country music and guitars alike. The Countryfried Down Home Frettin' Trivia Board Game is played on the image of a Gibson J-200 guitar with the game piece trail around the perimeter of the guitar. As the game progresses, pieces are moved up the guitar's neck and over its frets. It is a country/western trivia game that will have y'all frettin' while playing on the surface of the guitar. Topics include stars, music, TV, movies and other country-related subjects.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JOHN and NEIL Finally, Gibson wishes a happy birthday (Nov. 13) to traditional American music stylist John Hammond Jr., who's been known to pick a Gibson Blues King Electro. We also wish a belated birthday to Neil Young, who added another year to his life yesterday (Nov. 12). While known primarily for strummin' acoustic and blowin' on a harmonica, we like Young best when he's churning out chords on that black Les Paul Custom he's got.
