Guitars Fit For The King

[ IMAGE ] The Gibson Montana Acoustic Guitar Division has released a new line of guitars fit for a king? The King of Rock and Roll, that is!

Guitar (and Elvis) lovers around the globe will now be able to play replicas of the actual guitars in Elvis Presley's personal collection of 'Super Jumbos.'

The Elvis Presley Signature Model is a reproduction of Elvis's 1956 antique natural J-200, a guitar he chose to play during his official return to the live concert stage at the International Hotel in Las Vegas during the summer of 1969. Elvis was pictured over the years playing this guitar, the oldest in the Graceland archives. The fretboard is inlaid with Elvis Presley in mother of pearl, which, along with its other features, is faithfully re-created in the replica. Only 250 of this model will be made.

In addition, Gibson is offering 250 of the Elvis "The King of Rock" Model, a reproduction of Elvis' 1974 ebony J-200, featuring a fretboard inlay of eight mother of pearl king's crowns. Two more crowns adorn the headstock and the pickguard of the replica, and Elvis's name is engraved into a special truss rod cover located on the headstock.

Gibson, in cooperation with Graceland, is proud to commemorate the career of this charismatic performer through the release of these unique instruments, sure to become treasured collectors pieces. Each guitar in this limited release will be numbered, and will bear a signed certificate printed with Elvis Presley Enterprises' official logo.
