L'entendre pour le croire : du pouvoir de l'open tuning et de ses multiples possibilitésLes grands guitaristes ont souvent dû, pour se faire entendre, sortir des sentiers battus et l'une des façons d'y parvenir ayant fait ses preuves consiste à se démarquer de l'accordage habituel (mi la ré sol si mi) pour explorer des accordages alternatifs ou open tunings. Ces accordages, y compris ceux ayant déjà une longue histoire derrière eux, mélangés à des configurations plus radicales ou simplement originales, ont permis à bien des artistes devenus depuis célèbres, de faire une carrière et peut s'avérer pour les nouveaux musiciens un bonne manière de capter un auditoire. Souvent, les accordages alternatifs permettent de trouver des structures mélodiques originales ou de jouer seul des morceaux qui seraient très difficiles avec l'accordage habituel. Les open tunings sont donc de véritables capteurs d'attention, et ont été l'un des ingrédients clés de nombres de tubes rock, blues, jazz, ou country au cours des décennies passées-sans que vous vous en aperceviez dans la plupart des cas et dont vous vous êtes rendu compte au moment où vous avez tenté de les jouer.
