They teased a big tour announcement last week, and now, the dates are here. Maynard James Keenan and the guys of Tool have unleashed a new collection of headlining tour dates.

The band’s 2017 North American tour will kick off May 24 in Fairfax, Virginia, and continue through a June 8 stop in Rosemont, Illinois. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Friday (March 17). For information, visit

What to expect from the upcoming gigs? Tool promise an "unparalleled sonic and visual experience.” Sounds good to me!

On top of the just-announced headlining concerts, Tool will also appear at the 2017 Boston Calling and Governors Ball festivals.

In other news, Tool are currently working on the follow-up album to their 2006 studio album, 10,000 Days.
