Veteran U.K hard rockers Thunder have released two live albums via their own website. Back to the Black Country and The Xmas Show Live 2013 are available now from

Frontman Danny Bowes says, “I keep saying I’m supposed to be retired, but nobody’s listening. We decided to resurrect our Christmas show concept in 2011 after an incredible gig at the High Voltage festival that summer. After being away for two years it was quite moving to see so many people wearing Thunder shirts in the crowd, singing every word of our set.

“Since then we haven’t managed to get near a studio – but the Christmas shows have just got bigger and bigger, and nuttier and nuttier. Wolverhampton Civic was quite simply off the scale.”

Lead guitarist Luke Morley is both left-handed and a big Gibson fan. Gibson Flying Vs and Les Pauls are always in Morley’s rig. Read about his thoughts as a Gibson left-hander .

Thunder appear at the Calling Festival at London’s Clapham Common on June 28 alongside Aerosmith and Joe Bonamassa. Here’s the Thunder albums’ tracklistings, mixing Thunder originals and covers.
