Everly Brothers

Phil Everly, one half of legendary rock n' roll duo The Everly Brothers, has passed away at the age of 74.

Everly died in Los Angeles on January 3 from what his wife Patti Everly said was complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease due to a longtime smoking habit.

The Everly Brothers' first hit was 1957's "Bye Bye Love," one of 15 top 10 hits between 1957 and 1962 including "Wake Up Little Susie," "All I Have to Do Is Dream," "Cathy’s Clown" and "When Will I Be Loved."

The duo was among the first acts to ever be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in its maiden year, 1986.
