Pink Floyd

Pink Floyd has announced July 1 as the release date for an ambitious new box set commemorating the 20th anniversary of their last studio album, The Division Bell.

The centerpiece of the six-disc set is a 180-gram 2-LP vinyl edition of the album, remastered from the original analog tapes. The LPs have been fleshed out to include the original full-length versions of the tracks, which had been shortened in 1994 to fit onto a single LP.

Also included is a red 7-inch for “Take it Back” that features a live version of “Astronomy Domine” as its B-side; a clear 7-inch with edits of “High Hopes” and “Keep Talking”; and a blue 12-inch disc with full versions of “High Hopes” and “Keep Talking,” plus a live version of “One of These Days.”

The box also includes five collector art prints designed by Hipnosis/StormStudios, who also designed the gatefold sleeve housing the 180-gram LPs. The Division Bell was the second album Pink Floyd released following the departure of singer-bassist Roger Waters in the mid 80s.
