A Perfect Circle kicks off their fall North American tour this weekend at Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California, and the guys have unleashed a new tune just for the occasion.

The band's new song, "The Doomed," is streaming via YouTube. The song marks the first new music to arrive off Maynard James Keenan and the band's upcoming, 2018 full-length album.

“Years of life experience has brought our music to this moment,” guitarist Billy Howerdel said in a statement. “We know where we came from. Deeply connected to the path we’re on.”

Howerdel, by the way, is a Les Paul player. "They’re solid," he told Gibson.com in a past interview. "They do well when you throw them 30 feet in the air. Plus, there’s the beefiness of the sound, the playability, the scale. I prefer the Gibson scale. It really comes down to the sound for me. To me, there is no other guitar I go towards."

In other news, A Perfect Circle recently inked with BMG and are currently working on their follow-up to 2004's "eMOTIVe" with producer Dave Sardy.
