A 1969 Honda Monkey-Trail Bike once owned by John Lennon is headed to the auction block. As reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, Lennon used the motorized mini-bike to scoot around his countryside estate in Surrey, England, between 1969 and 1971.

Auction house H&H Classics is handling the sale on behalf of owner John Harrington, who came into possession of the bike in 1971. The company will put the bike up for sale on March 4 at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihull in the West Midlands of England. Best estimates indicate that the bike should fetch at least 30,000 British pounds (approximately $40,500).

“Naturally we are thrilled to be entrusted with the marketing and sale of this bike, given its extraordinary provenance," said Mark Bryan, head of sales for the H&H Classics Motorcycle Department.

A similar trail bike that once belonged to Ringo Starr sold for 36,000 British pounds (approximately $48,600) in 2008. To view photos of the Lennon Monkey-Trail Bike, click here.
