Sure, Soundgarden have been in the news as of late for announcing show and festival dates for this year, but frontman Chris Cornell still has an active solo career. Cornell has shared a clip of his upcoming, news solo song, called “The Promise,” via Twitter. The song will be unleashed Friday (March 10).

“The Promise” was recorded specially for a new movie, also named The Promise, which revolves around the Armenian genocide. Oscar Isaac and Christian Bale star in the film, which will reach theaters April 21.

This isn’t Cornell’s first song written for a feature film. He also has songs that appear on the soundtracks for 12 Years a Slave, Machine Gun Preacher and the James Bond flick Casino Royale.

In other Soundgarden news, the Seattle group is working on its upcoming album, which will mark their follow-up to 2012’s King Animal. Their 2017 spring U.S. headlining tour will kick off beginning May 3 in Atlanta.
