Kevin DubrowThe Clark County, Nevada, coroner’s office has ruled that Quiet Riot lead singer Kevin DuBrow died of an accidental cocaine overdose.

The 52-year-old Dubrow was found dead in his Las Vegas residence on November 25, with no apparent signs of foul play. Results of the coroner’s toxicology report were made public almost immediately.

Quiet Riot’s cover of Slade’s “Cum On Feel the Noize” drove the band’s 1983 album Mental Health to the top of the charts, the first metal band to achieve the honor.—Jerry McCulley
