The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees are out, and the list includes a bevy of first-time nominees, including Nirvana, Peter Gabriel, YES, Hall and Oates, the Replacements, the Zombies, Link Wray and Linda Ronstadt.

Fleshing out the rest of the 16 nominees are artists who have been nominated in previous years, but didn’t quite make the cut, including KISS, Deep Purple, Cat Stevens, Chic, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, the Meters, LL Cool J and N.W.A.

Fans can support their favorite bands by heading to and voting in the Hall’s fan poll. The five artists that score the highest will comprise a special “fans’ ballot” that will stand alongside the regular ballots to pick the inductees.

The 2014 Rock Hall class will be revealed in December. The induction ceremony will take place next April in New York City.

The 2013 Rock Hall class included Rush, Heart, the late Donna Summer, singer and songwriter Randy Newman, Albert King and Public Enemy.
