Erica Corniel, drummer and vocalist for Chicago rock band the Office, used a Slingerland drum kit during a recent music video shoot. In October of 2006 the Office signed with Scratchie Records, founded in part by James Iha of Smashing Pumpkins and Wayne Schlesinger of Fountains of Wayne. The Office’s first release under the Scratchie label is entitled A Night at the Ritz, and will be released on September 25, 2007. The album includes mostly reincarnations of older songs re-mastered for official release under Scratchie Records, as well as two new songs: “The Ritz” and “Paralyzed Prince.”
