For the second year, Gibson partnered with FIAT Freestyle and Quicksilver for the Rock The Spot event in Bardonecchia, in the eastern Italian Alps. While the world’s best snowboarders—Markku Koski, Giacomo Kratter, and Mathieu Crepel among others—performed jaw-dropping tricks on the Olympic halfpipe, the stage was rocked by Forty Winks, the New Story, Vanilla Sky, and Dufresne. Dufresne hyped the audience with a devastating performance which earned them the prize for Best Band.

Dufresne are about to release their sophomore set, Lovers, this spring and are already warming up for what we can only imagine as a long, adrenaline-fueled tour across Europe.

The winning rider, the Swedish Piirooinen Peetu, was awarded with a wonderful Flying V, white as the surrounding snow, which he accepted in front of the whole cheering crowd directly from the hands of FIAT Freestyle’s reps.

Right after the prize ceremony, the amazing Juliette and the Licks stepped on the stage to put the icing on the cake of such a great day.
