On Saturday, May 7, hard rock and metal fans descended upon Charlotte, North Carolina, to rock out at the all-new Carolina Rebellion festival. The day-long concert (created by the people behind the Rock on the Range festival) featured performances from Godsmack, Avenged Sevenfold, Three Days Grace, Stone Sour, Seether, Bullet for My Valentine, Theory of a Deadman, My Darkest Days, Hinder and many more of the best bands in hard rock.

More than 33,000 fans attended the sold-out event, held at Charlotte’s Metrolina Tradeshow Expo. Of course, Gibson was on the scene, with the Gibson Tour Bus serving as a VIP area and the Gibson Backstage Lounge giving the concert’s musicians a place to relax and play guitars. The lounge even featured a unique Guitar Ring Toss game, in which participants had to land a ring around the neck of an SG, Les Paul or Flying V. Among the winners: Stone Sour/Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, who took home a Gibson beanie for his skills.
