WHO: British Quartet Jarvis Humby

WHAT: After garage rock authority Little Steven Van Zandt played the songs from Jarvis Humby's debut album on his nationally syndicated radio show, he proclaimed the British quartet a band that meets the definition for "perfect contemporary garage band."

Van Zandt immediately signed the band to his Wicked Cool Records label and brought them over to the U.S. The band recently played songs from their debut release Assume the Position at Little Steven's Underground Garage Rock Music Series at Hawaiian Tropic Zone in New York City. Jarvis Humby, rockin' an ES-335, SG Reissue, and Thunderbird on stage, have a gritty '60s Britrock sound that could easily be described as "hard soul."
