Editors Note: Cyber Riffs is a new feature of The Amplifier. We've asked our own DigitalBoy to compile a list of the best, most interesting music and musician sites on the www. He ought to know. He is the quintessential virtual citizen.

No one knows what DigitalBoy looks like except for the back of his head and the standard wireless headphones. Emails are his only form of communication and he only writes in acronyms—www, mp3, NT, OS, lol, etc., or sends random URLs. We know he likes cherry colas and chips. Bottles and bags everywhere. At least once a day he slaps his CPU hard and screams, "Bill!" And above his monitor is a sign that reads, "Everything is all the time changing."

Whatever. He always leads us to an oasis deep in cyber space. We trust him.

Following is an evolving organization of links from the www fundamentals (browsers and search engines) to the tools (audio players) to the music (downloads and events). Over time, we will continually feature new sites and add them to a growing list.

Each month we will have a featured site. Why? Because this is the www and there are no rules (yet). Because we can. Because we believe.

Cyber Tip of the Month: Open more than one browser. (You really can be in two places at the same time when you're really nowhere at all.)

Join DigitalBoy now on his virtual music crusade. Be brave.

FEATURED SITE
Yes, that Bob Dylan—the master. Elegant, easily navigable site with unreleased concert recordings, all his lyrics, interviews, pictures, and essays. Yes, there's swag to buy.

Finally, in the words of Dylan, ""There must be some way out of here,' said the joker to the thief, 'There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.'" (From "All Along the Watchtower".)

lol.
