L-4 CES Mahogany
ギブソンはL-4Cのエレクトリック・バージョンを求める市場の声に応えるため、1948年にラミネート・トップのES-175を発表します。しかしL-4Cを求める声はその後も寄せられ、ギブソンは1950年代後半にL-4 CESを少量生産します。L-4 CESはバリエーションに富み、ピックアップだけを見ても「Charlie Christian」「Alnico」「Humbucker」などを搭載したモデルが登場しました。現在のカスタム・コレクションではソリッド・マホガニーのバックとサイドを採用した、最終モデルをベースとしています。
