Telecommunications Coordinator - Nashville, TN

Gibson Musical Instruments (the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments and gear) is seeking a self-motivated, hard working individual with a want to succeed as a Telecommunications Coordinator.

Position Objectives:

Candidate will provide Telecommunications support for users, remote divisions, and traveling employees. Establish a good, working relationship with vendors as well as making sure they are providing Gibson with all of their telecommunication needs. Responsible for analysis of telecommunications expenditures.


Position Reports to: Director of Information Technology


Years of Experience/Accomplishments Required:

Three to five years telecommunications experience

Educational Requirement:

High School diploma or equivalent required

Basic Duties:

Keep expenses down by providing technical (Telco) support to stores and determining if a tech dispatch is necessary.
Order phones for the users when required
Liaison with telecom providers and vendors, as well as help desk
Responsible for cell phone activity including providing technical support, usage analysis, initiating insurance claims, setting up new users, and upgrades.
Troubleshoot Telecom issues until resolved. Including adding and deleting voicemail, personal extensions, and personalizing phone requirements as necessary.
Provide training to new associates on the home office phone usage
Making sure all paperwork has been submitted for new store Telco and frame installations.
Providing long distance codes for new employees approved.
Meet with telecom vendors on a regular basis.
Provide year-end analysis to telecom expenditures
Maintain contract files.
Update and distribute Company Phone List
