Job Description:
Gibson Guitar Corp. (the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturer and Lifestyle Company) is seeking candidates for the position of Senior Network Engineer to be based out of their World Headquarters in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate for this position will be an experienced network engineer who is excellent at hands-on technology work and troubleshooting IT issues.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support across a broad range of Microsoft technologies
· Cisco ASA firewall deployment, maintenance, and monitoring
· Citrix Server farm deployment, maintenance, and monitoring
· Perform network maintenance and monitoring
· Manage and maintain firewalls and VPN connections to Gibson facilities worldwide
· Manage and maintain Citrix servers, delivering Dynamics GP and other mission critical applications
· Manage and maintain servers responsible for file sharing, printing, fax, and backup
· Manage and maintain Internet authentication using Microsoft ISA server
· Manage and maintain server antivirus using Microsoft ForeFront
· Perform server backup and restoration using Retrospect
· Manage Active Directory user accounts, profiles, GPO’s, login scripts, etc.
· Perform second tier technical support for users in all facilities
Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a network engineer or systems administrator
· A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2000/2003, including system installation and configuration
· Fundamentals of security
· Experience in a large-scale Active Directory environment is required
· Enterprise level Citrix experience with Presentation Server 4.0 or later is a must
· Experience with managing Cisco ASA firewalls is also central to the position
· MCSE 2003 certification is a plus
· Candidate must be able to work individually or in a team and be a skilled communicator
· Ability to analyze and solve problems quickly
· Ability to work closely with other staff members and communicate clearly with end-users Knowledge of routers, switches, network protocols and topology
· Working knowledge of Windows 2003, Exchange 2003, Microsoft IIS, and Active Directory
· Enterprise level Citrix experience
· Working knowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls and virtual private networks
· Microsoft ISA server experience
