Gibson Guitar Corp. is looking for a person to fill the position of Manager/Publicist Shanghai.
Responsibilities:
- Pitching and procuring press coverage for Gibson family brands, events and alliances.
- Responsible for weekly publicity reports and PR archives.
- Manage speaking engagements
- Produce corporate press kits
- Media recaps and reporting
Requirements:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Network of contacts in the media
- Must be savvy in media relations
- Experienced in creating editorial content and pitches that results in major press coverage in all music, entertainment and lifestyle press (electronic, online and print)
- 3-5 years experience as publicist
- Must speak and write English and Chinese fluently
- Advanced computer skills and understanding of interactive press services a plus.
Reports to: EVP of Outreach Marketing
Position is full-time and based in Shanghai and will work closely with the Entertainment Relations and Web teams. Candidates in Shanghai strongly encouraged as relocation will not be offered.
