Gibson Guitar Corp (the world’s premier lifestyle brand and manufacturer of musical instruments and gear) is seeking an experienced, brand building Product Manager with proven success in full life cycle product management and lifestyle marketing.
Product Managers are responsible for developing and implementing strategies based on market and consumer analysis. Specifically, Product Managers will develop new products and related marketing campaigns, manage pricing, analyze and make recommendations on SKU management, develop and execute trade and promotional strategies, and manage their own marketing budget as approved during the annual budget process.
Product Managers are measured against objectives established for key metrics including Share, Margins, Product Turns, and Sales; analyzing and measuring results on a going basis.
Responsibilities include:
· New product development
· Internal product line and competitive analysis
· Heavy Experience in Market Forecasting and strategic market planning
Must have:
· 5+ years successful brand management experience with a global consumer products company
· Marketing/Business degree (MBA)
- Demonstrated strength in multi-functional leadership
- Ability to bring a disciplined approach to a frequently ambiguous industry
- Demonstrated strengths in strategic thinking, data analysis, and problem solving
- Excellent written, oral communication and PC skills
- Strong appreciation of music, with guitar playing a plus
