Gibson Guitar Corp (the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturer and Lifestyle Company) is seeking an aggressive, qualified, experienced President to help lead Gibson South America.
Gibson is committed to Global consistency in policy and practice and leadership from the headquarters location in Nashville, TN. To insure both a great local presence, and strong centralized leadership, we are expanding our international executive staff.
The President – South America will serve as the Managing Director of the Regional Division. They will be the ambassador to the region and will be the lead in managing each country within the Regional Division. They will be the point person to manage local presence, resolve issues and communicate with Executive Management.
Must be experienced and knowledgeable in local languages, laws and culture as it pertains to international business success
Candidates must have cross functional experience (International Operations, Logistics, Legal, Marketing and Finance) and full P&L responsibility, including successful turnaround experience with underperforming business segments in South America.
Candidate must have a minimum ten year track record of progressive career growth and responsibility in achieving aggressive growth and financial goals in global manufacturing, distribution and logistics driven companies.
Role will involve travel between domestic and international business units.
This is a high energy shirt-sleeve position in a performance driven flat structured entrepreneurial culture. An MBA is required.
Position will report to the CEO.
Experience with South American consumer products or retail is required.
Experience in playing guitar or other musical instruments is a plus.
