Gibson Guitar Corp, the world’s leading lifestyle brand and manufacturer of musical instruments and gear is now seeking a top performer as General Manager - China. This position will be based in the Dong Bei facility in northern China.
The General Manager will be the lead of the China division and will be responsible for managing and growing the three product organizations manufactured in China.
Position will report directly to the Global CEO with a dotted line to the CEO China.
General Manager will have a successful 5 year track record of managing growth in manufacturing environment with full P&L responsibility.
Must be an aggressive, independent professional with:
· strong marketing abilities
· manufacturing management experience, specifically in Asia
· exceptional leadership traits
· demonstrated ability to manage cash and deliver profits
· demonstrated proven success in International business markets
· good business sense
Will be focused on the development and manufacturing of core product lines. Direction for and solid understanding of how these product lines will run is vital.
An MBA is required.
Experience with consumer products or retail is required.
Experience in playing guitar or other musical instruments are big pluses.
Chinese business experience required. Bi-Lingual candidates are a plus.
