Gibson Guitar Corp., the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturer is creating a new Executive position reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.
Job Description
The EVP Corporate Development position will work on special projects and analyses as required by the Chief Executive Officer. This individual will interact on a daily basis with the company’s division managers, sales and marketing professionals and company executives gathering information and reporting on studies and results and supporting the operations of the company as required. This high-visibility, demanding position is not an entry-level position. Only seasoned professionals with proven success in turn arounds, IPO’s, and mergers will be considered. Some travel, including international travel, is required.
Required experience
The successful candidate will have a strong general business background and have some experience operating in an unstructured entrepreneurial environment. The successful candidate will be required to have demonstrated high potential after only one or two years operating experience in manufacturing, distribution, finance, control customer service or marketing. International experience is desirable. Excellent knowledge of, and extensive use of PC tools including Microsoft Office is required.
Required qualifications
The candidate must have absolute integrity and a high level of energy. The candidate must have a business degree or equivalent years of business experience. An MBA is highly desirable. This individual must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to operate independently without a high level of supervision. At the same time the candidate must but be able to follow directions exactly when required and unfailingly meet deadlines and commitments when necessary. The candidate must be highly intelligent, articulate and persuasive. Excellent verbal and written skills are required.
