Gibson Guitar Corporation, the world’s premier manufacturer of musical instruments, is seeking experienced Senior Accountant. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, this highly visible position will assist with monthly closings, account reconciliations/analysis, preparation of financial statements for external and internal financial reporting, and assisting external auditors with the annual audit.
Required Knowledge and AbilitiesEducation and Experience• Active CPA certification is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in a corporate environment or with a national public accounting firm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Preparation/consolidation of financials; actual, forecast, and budget
• Prepare financial analysis and respond to management inquiries
• Documentation of internal controls over financial reporting
• Generate and record monthly closing and consolidation journal entries and transactional accounting
• Preparation of monthly corporate account reconciliations
• Recommend policy and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting
• Assist external auditors with schedule preparation and respond to audit questions
• Other special projects and responsibilities as assigned
