June 30, 2009 will be a night to remember. That’s the night guitar legend Slash will take the stage in Kristiansand, Norway, at the 2009 Quart Festival with an unprecedented lineup of “friends” to perform some of rock’s greatest songs.
According to a press release, the iconic guitarist will be joined by Ozzy Osbourne, drummer Jason Bonham, former Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas, among others, to perform such hits as “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” “Crazy Train,” and “Black Dog.”
The Quart Festival is Norway’s most popular – and sometimes controversial – annual music festival. It had a successful 15-year run before it was cancelled last year due to poor ticket sales, but it has been revived this year and is scheduled to take place from June 30 to July 4.
Besides Slash, this year’s lineup includes Marilyn Manson, Young Jeezy, Black Eyed Peas, Placebo, Korn and Chris Cornell.
