Pearl Jam's Ten To Get Super-Deluxe Reissue Treatment

Pearl Jam is pulling out all the stops for the forthcoming deluxe reissue of their seminal 1991 debut album, Ten. Specifically, the set will be available in four different versions. Each edition will contain a remastered version of the original disc, plus a new remix by producer Brendan O'Brien. The O'Brien remix will also include six previously unreleased songs from the era during which Ten was recorded.

The "legacy" edition of Ten will include a DVD of the band's previously unreleased 1992 "MTV Unplugged" performance, adding, as a bonus, a never-aired version of "Oceans." Fans who prefer vinyl will also have the option to purchase a double-LP set that includes the original Ten on one album, and the O'Brien remix on the other.

The band's most devoted fans, however, will want to spring for the "Super Deluxe Edition." Comprised of two CDs, a DVD, and four vinyl records, the set is housed in a linen-covered slipcase clamshell box. More importantly, the super-deluxe package includes a pristine dub of the legendary demo tape (called "Momma-Son," on poor-quality bootlegs) that features the original creations of "Alive," "Once" and "Footsteps."

The "Super Deluxe" set – which will retail for $140 – also includes a 2-LP version of Pearl Jam's previously unreleased Sept. 20, 1992 concert at Seattle's Magnuson Park, plus a replica of Eddie Vedder's composition notebook packed with notes, photos and memorabilia from the Ten era.

All four versions of the reissue will be available beginning March 24. Pre-orders got underway on Dec. 10 at PearlJam.com. For complete details, click here
