Halloween will come early for a few lucky metal-heads as Ozzy Osbourne has announced that he will perform with Metallica for the 25th anniversary celebration of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 30.
The two-day event will also at Madison Square Garden will see several Hall of Fame inductees jamming with their heroes.
The scheduled match ups include Jeff Beck and Buddy Guy sitting in with Eric Clapton; Annie Lennox and Lenny Kravitz onstage with Aretha Franklin; Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band joining Sam Moore and Darlene Love; John Legend and Smokey Robinson singing with Stevie Wonder; and Crosby, Stills & Nash with James Taylor, Jackson Browne, and Bonnie Raitt.
"Each of them will cover different bases of the history of rock and roll," says Joel Peresman, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation's president and chief executive. "The mission for them is to tell their story through their own music and through the music of artists that were really inspirational to them and the genres that helped shaped them."
Other guests that are going to appear at the all-star event include Paul Simon, U2, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Sting.
Don’t feel bad if you can’t make it or afford the $1500 tickets – highlights from the concerts will be aired on a four-hour HBO special on Thanksgiving weekend.
