After pulling off mind-blowing remakes of Radiohead’s OK Computer and Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, the Easy Star All-Stars have announced plans to release a reggae version of The Beatles’ legendary Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Easy Star's Lonely Hearts Dub Band will be released April 14 and feature guest vocals from an array of bold-faced reggae, dancehall and dub stars, including Steel Pulse, Matisyahu, Michael Rose, Luciano, U Roy, Bunny Rugs, Ranking Roger, Sugar Minott, Frankie Paul, Max Romeo and The Mighty Diamonds.
The first single, a cover of "With A Little Help From My Friends," will be available exclusively on iTunes starting Feb. 10.
Easy Star’s Dub Side of the Moon album spent more than five years on Billboard’s reggae chart.
