
Beginning today (Oct. 20), the Beatles’ Abbey Road album is available in its entirely for The Beatles: Rock Band, Harmonix and MTV Games have announced.
Six songs from the classic album -- “Come Together,” “Something,” “Octopus’s Garden,” “I Want You (She’s So Heavy),” “Here Comes the Sun” and “The End” – have been available since the initial release of the popular video game. As of today, the remaining songs are available for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, with availability for Playstation coming this Thursday (Oct. 22).
Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 users have the option of purchasing the Side One tracks “Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, “Oh! Darling,” and “Because” as standalone downloads. Conversely, they can buy the complete album pack for $16.99. Wii users have multiple options that include purchasing individual song downloads and multi-song downloads.
Harmonix and MTV Games have also announced that the entire Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album will be available in November, with the entire Rubber Soul album to follow in December.
