The Beastie Boys have revealed the artwork, tracklist and release date for their eighth studio album, The Hot Sauce Committee, Part I. The new set of songs is due for release on Sept. 15, and the Brooklyn rap trio will spend the months leading up to its release headlining the several major summer festivals, including Lollapalooza, All Points West and Austin City Limits.
Hot Sauce is the Beasties’ first proper album since 2005’s To the 5 Boroughs (they released the instrumental The Mix-Up two years ago). It includes collaborations with Santigold ("Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win”) and Nas ("Too Many Rappers"), who appeared with the group at Bonnaroo earlier this month.
In the meantime, fans can look forward to remastered and expanded versions of 1994’s Ill Communication, due July 14, and 1998’s Hello Nasty, available Aug. 25.
